The client is a leading waste & energy management services company. Multiple source systems in different currencies made it challenging to view company-wide spend in a currency. Multiple spellings and instances of the same supplier across different ERP systems made it very hard to capture total spend for a supplier. Purchasing managers needed a company-wide view of spend by industry specific group purchasing categories. Profit center and cost center hierarchies changed frequently, and spend needed to be recalculated monthly to see actual spend by various organizational units.
